The Faculty Office

At the hub of the Faculty of Health Sciences is the Faculty, or Pro Vice-Chancellor's Office. It is from here that the tasks are undertaken that bring the Faculty's policy, resource and administrative initiatives to the broader University community. It is also the mediating point for the transmission of University business to our Schools and Centres. These two major functions are our core business and are achieved by the overview, inherent in our activities, of the Faculty's teaching and learning, and research and development programs.

This overview:

facilitates the continuous development of education, training and R&D programs responsive to community, employer and professional need;
informs the on-going review of strategic positioning by the Faculty;
enables equitable distribution of resources within the Faculty;
allows mediation between the Schools/Centres and central administrative processes;
supports effective representation of the Faculty at many forums, including those related to budget.
