The A/Dean, Teaching and Learning promotes and supports continuous improvement in learning and teaching in the Faculty, leads the implementation relevant University and Faculty strategic initiatives, manages Faculty learning and teaching support structures, liaises between central and Faculty learning and teaching bodies, and represents the Faculty at relevant University forums.

The Manager, Academic Affairs is responsible for the Faculty's courses management, including providing advice about process and documentation for teaching developments and other administrative aspects of the Faculty's teaching and learning activities.

There are three categories of teaching development: Centrally approved, Faculty approved and Limited changes.

The DTLC was established to undertake strategic program and planning review and to monitor pursuit of teaching and learning excellence in the Faculty. The DTLC meets monthly.

This is a DTLC sub-committee that convenes prior to a full DTLC meeting to review any teaching developments that have entered the approvals process. It comprises the Dean, Teaching and Learning, the Manager Academic Affairs, the Manager Student Services Office, the LSN representative on DTLC and DTLC members representing the School(s) that are proposing the developments under review. The Group meets on the Thursday before the DTLC meeting and staff responsible for the proposed development are invited to attend.

A group comprising area representatives, including the Student Guild, convenes at least once prior to each O(rientation) Week to facilitate and co-ordinate the Faculty's O Week activities.
