Monash professor to present on mindfulness
On Wednesday 19 October 2016, Monash University’s Associate Professor, Craig Hassed, will present a session on the impact of mindfulness in an academic environment to gain better health and resilience, to form stronger relationships, to enhance academic performance and to contribute to a values-based community.
The impact of mindfulness on overall wellbeing, the relaxation response and executive functioning is evident in a wide range of areas. Results of research studies, including measured and experienced benefits of mindfulness, are gaining increased public interest. How can mindfulness be applied, cultivated and embedded in a tertiary environment?
The audience will have the opportunity to brainstorm ideas about integrating mindfulness in their daily work or studies here at Curtin and beyond.
