Ask Me About SoTL, February 2016

Second round of TA Seed Grants for 2016 – Opening soon!

If you are a Teaching Academic and would like to apply for a TA Seed Grant for 2016 another round will open soon and close in April. Further details are available here.

Upcoming SoTL writing workshop

In the week beginning 18 April (non-teaching week) a facilitated full-day writing workshop will be run for staff who received TEDF and TA Seed funding in 2015. The aim of the workshop is to build a community of practice and support those new to SoTL writing to publish from their funded project.

An email to those who received 2015 internal teaching and learning grants will go out shortly to determine which day of the week will work best for those who want to participate. Other staff who have a SoTL publication in development are welcome to join in! Participants will identify a journal, develop an abstract and an outline for the publication.

Schollaboration in 2016

Following the successful half-day of sharing teaching, learning and scholarship, regular monthly Schollaboration sessions are planned across 2016.  Sessions are planned to be held on different days of the week to facilitate participation and maximise outcomes for staff across the Faculty.

More information will be sent through soon and suggestions for topics and/or presentations are always welcome.

2016 Teaching and Learning Forum

The Faculty was well represented again at the recent Teaching and Learning Forum with 15 presentations involving faculty staff.  Well done to everyone involved!

Should you require TA Seed Grant assistance or further information on any of the items above, or any other aspect of SoTL in the faculty, please contact Helen Flavell h.flavell@curtin.edu.au.
