This Area of Research focuses on human movement and rehabilitation across the lifespan. These principles are translated into the prevention, treatment and management of conditions focusing on but not limited to musculoskeletal conditions. The scope of interest further translates and impacts on most human activities from elite sports and individual responses to exercise, to cohorts with significant levels of impairment or functional decline due to chronic illness and/or ageing. This Program of Research group will develop alliances in sport, physical activity and workplace health. This incorporates the physiology of the response to exercise and inactivity including biomechanics, movement related assessment and clinical rehabilitation.
