Internship

Health Sciences at Curtin University can undertake internships that can provide opportunities for students to "do something different". These internships can be undertaken for credit and not for credit.

The For-Credit internships are undertaken as part of a one semester study abroad experience. The internship can be full-time (12-16 credits), or part time (3 or 6 credits) depending upon the students' needs and those of their home institution.

The Not For Credit Internships can be undertaken almost any time during the year and last from 4 to 12 weeks. These are often undertaken by Medical, Premedical, Physical Therapy, Biomedical and other health professional students. Previous internships have been undertaken in Hospitals (Emergency Departments and Orthopaedic), Drug Rehabilitation Centres, Outback Rural Medical Practices and Remote Aboriginal Communities. A written report is expected for each internship.
