Physiotherapy and Exercise Science
Over the past 60 years our School has established an international reputation for the quality of its graduates and its research. We are privileged to have very high calibre students entering our programs, excellent facilities and dedicated academic and professional staff. We are proud of the fact that students come from all parts of the world to undertake our programs and our graduates can be found working as physiotherapists on all continents.
The School of Physiotherapy and Exercise Science is one of the oldest learning centres in the Division of Health Sciences. Established in 1953, it was amalgamated with WAIT in 1967. Over the years, the science and practice of physiotherapy has developed to the extent that in 1993, the School graduated its first doctoral student. In July 2002, the School of Physiotherapy and Exercise Science relocated from the Shenton Park campus to our new, custom-made building located on the main Bentley campus. In 2012, a new course in Exercise, Sports and Rehabilitation Science commenced within in the School of Physiotherapy and Exercise Science.
