Information about honours
The physiotherapy Honours program is conducted during the third and fourth years of the physiotherapy course. It is only offered to those students who have a course weighted average score
Each Honours student works individually with a supervisor, or team of supervisors, to develop, conduct and report results of a research project. Research projects may develop from topics in which current researchers in the School have experience or an interest, or they may develop from a student’s particular area of interest.
Students who graduate with Honours are well positioned to proceed to postgraduate research studies (Masters or PhD).
Those who obtain either First or upper Second Class Honours results are eligible to apply to do a PhD without needing to complete a Masters degree first. All Honours graduates are also very well placed to apply their skills and knowledge learnt during the Honours program in their future work as clinicians.
