SoNIA is a web-based, database-driven management tool specifically designed to help placement officers and fieldwork coordinators manage the allocating of students to fieldwork placement venues (hospitals, health care centres, schools etc.). SoNIA is a commercial, clinical placement management system that is designed to be used by education providers (Schools), health services and students.
Each School has their own method of allocating students to placement venues. Therefore, please access your School's website in order to gain the information you will need to successfully use SoNIA database. Fieldwork Coordinators, University staff and fieldwork site staff will provide and update information on SoNIA. You will be able to use SoNIA to access information such as who to contact at your fieldwork site and any other relevant information regarding your fieldwork placement.
