Welcome new staff

The School of Occupational Therapy and Social Work would like to welcome Paula Clough and Alex Craig to the school.

Paula Clough, Fieldwork Coordinator Social Work

I am acting for a year in Natalie Long’s position as Fieldwork Coordinator for the Department of Social Work. I have been made very welcome already, and am enjoying the challenges of finding fieldwork placements for all the social work fourth year students. I have more than 24 years’ experience working in social work and senior management, and have worked across a broad range of government and community services organisations in Western Australia.

I have a Bachelor of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Australia. I have also completed a postgraduate Diploma of Business, and I am a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. I have been doing the liaison role and external supervisor’s role for the social work placements for some time, and I am looking forward to getting to know everyone here at the school now that I am based at Curtin.

Alex Craig, Fieldwork Coordinator OT

I studied my Bachelor in Occupational Therapy at James Cook University in North Queensland, and a Masters of Mental Health: Psychotherapy/Art Therapy at the University of Queensland, Brisbane. I have been employed predominantly in mental health across a breadth of sectors, with varied experiences with home modifications and equipment prescription.
