Public Health – Message from the Head of School, September 2017
Welcome to the new look School of Public Health newsletter. We will initially publish the newsletter quarterly and, if it is well-received and deemed useful, we may publish issues more frequently.
The main aim of the newsletter is to showcase positive news about the many achievements and activities taking place within the school, and provide some operational information that may be of importance.
In future, you will be receiving a call for items and ideas to populate the newsletter. We will also be gathering the most exciting and interesting information from communications provided by yourselves for our weekly morning tea, and featuring some of this information in the newsletter. Of particular interest is the staff profile, in which we will introduce new colleagues or facets of existing colleagues that you may not know about. If anyone is keen to be profiled please let us know, your chance for fame and glory awaits!
In this issue of the newsletter, we have some fantastic stories about a very successful Health Impact Assessment workshop our staff delivered in Bangkok, the expansion of a program promoting mental health in schools and an update from the first student to graduate from our Joint Master degree program.
We hope you enjoy the newsletter and welcome any feedback on it.
