How long have you worked at Curtin?
Where did you work prior to starting at the University?
In my home business.
What do you like best about your role?
I have opportunities to meet and work with people across different schools in the faculty. Learning to apply my people skills is challenging but fulfilling.
Why did you choose your current career path?
I couldn’t say I chose this career path, but this opportunity was given to me and I believe that I have the skills and qualities to produce good outcomes.
Customer service in my home business.
I can’t identify a worst job in my career, as I was kind of lucky to have always worked in harmonious environments and surrounded by lovely people.
Your favourite place in the world and why?
Perth, Australia. This year marked 29 years since I migrated to Australia, and I find Perth is the most beautiful city among all the places I have been. It has the best climate, beautiful nature sceneries and friendly people.
Your favourite cuisine and why?
It has to be the Chinese cuisine I was brought up with.
What is the best piece of advice you have received?
My Dad told me I am his least worrying child, amongst his four children, and I have cost him less to maintain (just joking) because I was the first one who got married.
Tell us something about yourself that your colleagues wouldn’t know?
I love singing karaoke at home with close friends (so I don’t feel embarrassed).
