Public Lecture with Professor Sven Bölte

Curtin University Autism Research Group (CARG) and the Autism Association of Western Australia are excited to introduce Professor Bölte from Sweden’s Karolinska Institute for Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (KIND).

Professor Bölte will visit Perth to present a free public lecture aimed at parents and carers of children and teenagers with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

His presentation will include:

  • social skills development in children with ASD
  • KONTAKT – a social skills program for children and teenagers with ASD
  • KONTAKT – plans for this specialist program to roll out in Perth.

Following Professor Bölte’s lecture will be three-minute thesis (3MT) presentations by Curtin research students working on projects in autism. The 3MT will be facilitated by Professor Lyn Beazley AO FTSE, Autism Academy for Software Quality Assurance (AASQA) Ambassador, and will include an audience vote for the people’s choice winner of best 3MT.
