Festival of Learning – Faculty Showcase

The faculty will be show casing innovative Work-Integrated-Learning (WIL) during the Festival of Learning on Thursday 9 November 2017. The afternoon will culminate with the award celebration for the 2017 Faculty Excellence and Innovation in Teaching Awards, a sumptuous afternoon tea and networking.

Several short presentations on innovative WIL will be given, and all presentations will focus on the student experience and their learning. There will be a door prize and prizes for best presentations. All presentations will be co-led by students and staff.

The showcase will also include a panel discussion on a Curtin Innovation learning and teaching project led by Dr Antonia Hendrick. The project involved engaging Noongar Elders to support Occupational Therapy and Social Work students before, during and following their fieldwork placements. Please join us to hear about this innovative approach to building student cultural capability, and meaningful partnerships and relationships with local Elders. The panel will include students, Elders and staff involved in the project.
